Deer Camp Venison Chili

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. ground venison
  • 2 lg. can Brooke’s chili beans hot
  • 1 lg. onion chopped
  • ½ green pepper chopped
  • 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 2 T. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1lb. can of tomatoes
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Chili powder to taste
  • 1 - 2 tsp Tabasco Sauce To be added to each bowl of venison chili, prior to serving.

Instructions
 

  • Brown meat, onion, and pepper in vegetable oil.
  • In a Dutch oven or very large saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients.
  • Simmer 1 hour on low heat, stirring frequently.
  • Remove bay leaf before serving.
  • Add 1 or 2 teaspoons of Tabasco Sauce to each bowl of venison chili, per the user's taste.
