1 ½ lbs ground venison
½ small onion, diced
2 tbsp mustard
1 can chicken gumbo soup
½ tsp chili powder
1 tsp sugar
½ lb shredded cheddar (or other your choice) cheese
½ cup ketchup
salt and pepper to taste

Preparation and Cooking Instructions

  1. In a medium non-stick frying pan fry venison and onion.
  2. Pour off any excess grease and add mustard, ketchup, soup, and other spices.
  3. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes until thick.
  4. Stir in cheese until melted and serve on buns. (Note: This dish is even better reheated the next day.)
