Grab a coffee and settle in, because Ol’ Rutgers is back with another gem that only he could dream up. This week’s deer hunting cartoon finds our favorite backwoods philosopher hauling a hairdryer and a suspiciously long extension cord out to a scrape, all in the name of “science.”
Rutgers insists deer only follow scent trails in a razor-thin temperature window, so naturally, he’s out there blow-drying the dirt like it owes him money. It’s exactly the kind of absurd logic that makes this hunting comic series so much fun week after week — equal parts ridiculous and weirdly relatable if you’ve ever obsessed over the “perfect” scent conditions yourself.
If you’re the type who actually studies temperature swings and scent cones for real (not with a hairdryer, hopefully), check out our cold weather hunting tips for advice that won’t blow a fuse.
Enjoy the laugh, and swing back next week for more deer hunting humor comics starring the one and only Ol’ Rutgers.
