Digital Crosshairs just released the first rifle scope to smart phone interface kit.
This new product plugs into the video output port on digital night vision and thermal scopes and transmits the video stream of the scope’s field of view in real-time up to 100 meters. The user simply downloads an Android or Iphone App to receive the digitally encrypted WiFi video stream for viewing and recording.
This new kit also includes a rail mounted LCD display which the user can mount on any picatinny rail on the weapon to add a 4.3″ digital display. The display and transmitter modules can be added or removed simply by plugging them into or removing them from the power pack.
Most of today’s digital and thermal rifle scopes have composite video output ports that can be wired into a DVR for recording. This product was requested by at a Georgia Gun Show by a Pulsar Digital Scope owner who wanted to have the same WiFi and digital LCD display capabilities on his scope as those found on the Digital Crosshairs night vision scope adapter kits. This is the first WiFi kit that enables a shooter with an IR night vision or thermal scope to transmit the video directly to a smart phone or tablet device. This product is compatible with many ATN, Flir, Pulsar and other digital or thermal scopes that have composite video output ports.
