Hunting in the snow in the heart of Europe (Slovakia âVeľký Grob)
Hunting in the native hunting ground in the Danube Delta area in western Slovakia in the heart of Europe in hunting group Veľký Grob, which is the main partner of the project Workshop Dog.
Every year for 10 years I have been participating in this common hunting event and for the last 4 years I was there as a hunting photographer.
The terrain is largely flat with a number of artificial and natural lakes as a remnant of the floodplain forests, that are lined with groves with various tree species. A large number of natural bio-corridors offer a refuge for small animals (pheasants, quails) also for hares, roe deers or wild boars.
This hunt was marked by snow, frost and the sun. Extensive snowploughs and heavy terrain were challenging for the feet, in terrains with a dense reed were difficult for the hands. Dogs were invaluable helpers throughout the hunt and did amazing work, breed representative english pointer, english setter, german shorthaired pointer and weimar.
The all-day hunting atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. By following the security rules, we all met healthy at the cottage in the hunting ground. Friends, here you can see photo-story from FotoStoryAS from the Slovak landscape in the Danube Delta area with traditions, smiles and memories of another successful hunting day.
