This Roasted Wild Turkey recipe is a celebration of that journey, transforming your prized game bird into a delicious and memorable feast.

Roasted Wild Turkey
Ingredients
- 1 Wild Turkey
- 1/2 c Butter
- 1 pinch Sea Salt & Pepper
- Stuffing Ingredients:
- 1 tsp. Onion Powder
- 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
- 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp. Sage
- 1/2 c Chicken Stock
- 3 tsp. Melted Butter
- 1 Onion (finely Chopped}
- 1 Egg beaten
- 4 c Dried Bread Crumbs
- 3 c Roasted Peanuts
Instructions
- 1 lb Bacon Strips
- 1/2 c Butter
- 1 tsp. Sea Salt
- Instructions:
- Rub the inside of the turkey with butter, salt and pepper.
- Mix the stuffing ingredients together and put into turkey cavity.
- Place turkey in a Roasting Pan.
- Lay the bacon strips over the breast. More or less Bacon can be used depending on the size of the turkey and your own preferences.
- Cover the breast with cheese cloth and pour butter over the turkey so the cloth is saturated.
- Sprinkle with onion powder, salt and pepper.
- Roast in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes per pound, basting frequently with the juices.
- When the turkey is almost done, remove the cheese cloth to brown it a little more if desired.
