There’s something about a crisp fall day that makes outdoor activities like squirrel hunting all the more appealing, especially when spent in the company of good friends.
And for Senator Foung Hawj (Chair of Mn Senate Environment Committee) and his family, September 23rd was the perfect day for it. They headed out to Fillmore County in Minnesota to visit the farm of Representative Rick Hansen, (Chair of Mn House Environment Committee) where they spent the day stalking and hunting squirrels and enjoying the beautiful fall Minnesota countryside.

The result of their squirrel hunting trip? A delicious Hmong squirrel stew, expertly prepared by Senator Foung Hawj’s family. It’s always encouraging to see our elected officials getting out and enjoying the great outdoors – especially when it results in such a tasty meal!
