Roasted Wild Turkey

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Wild Turkey
  • 1/2 c Butter
  • 1 pinch Sea Salt & Pepper
  • Stuffing Ingredients:
  • 1 tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Sage
  • 1/2 c Chicken Stock
  • 3 tsp. Melted Butter
  • 1 Onion (finely Chopped}
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • 4 c Dried Bread Crumbs
  • 3 c Roasted Peanuts

Instructions
 

  • 1 lb Bacon Strips
  • 1/2 c Butter
  • 1 tsp. Sea Salt
  • Instructions:
  • Rub the inside of the turkey with butter, salt and pepper.
  • Mix the stuffing ingredients together and put into turkey cavity.
  • Place turkey in a Roasting Pan.
  • Lay the bacon strips over the breast. More or less Bacon can be used depending on the size of the turkey and your own preferences.
  • Cover the breast with cheese cloth and pour butter over the turkey so the cloth is saturated.
  • Sprinkle with onion powder, salt and pepper.
  • Roast in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes per pound, basting frequently with the juices.
  • When the turkey is almost done, remove the cheese cloth to brown it a little more if desired.
