Reward! Four Elk Poached in Idaho

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is seeking assistance from the public in locating those responsible for the illegal shooting and wasting of four elk.

This occurred about three miles south of Indian Creek Butte, located west of Dubois within one mile of the Medicine Lodge Road.

There was no elk season open in the area at the time of the shooting.

Two cows and a calf were left in a field and another cow was left in the sagebrush approximately 200 yards from the other elk. The three elk in the field were likely shot close to Christmas day, and the cow elk in the sagebrush was probably shot earlier in the week.

Fish and Game is seeking an enhanced reward because of the especially egregious nature of the incident.
