Every whitetail hunter has had a moment where confidence outran common sense, and this week’s Ol’ Rutgers comic strip nails it perfectly. Our favorite deer hunting cartoon regular is back, crouched low behind a bush with his binoculars trained on a buck that is, quite literally, staring him dead in the eye from ten feet away. Classic Rutgers logic follows, and it’s the kind of gag that hits home for anyone who’s spent time in a deer stand convinced their camo and stillness made them invisible.
If you’re gearing up for the season yourself and want better luck (and better cover) than Rutgers, our bow hunting whitetail bucks guide is worth a look before your next sit.
Scroll down for this week’s strip, and be sure to check back every week for more hunting humor, deer camp stories, and the kind of laughs only a fellow hunter can truly appreciate.
