Archery and Muzzleloader Season Extended

Vermont offers several days of archery and muzzleloader deer hunting following the regular deer season, which concludes on November 30. Enthusiasts can look forward to:

Archery Season: December 1-15

During this period, hunters require both an archery deer license and a hunting license. You can take either an antlerless deer or a legal buck if not previously harvested.

Muzzleloader Season: December 6-14

Hunters need a muzzleloader deer license along with a hunting license. If you haven’t yet harvested a legal buck, you may do so in this season. Additionally, an antlerless deer can be taken in specific Wildlife Management Units with a muzzleloader antlerless deer permit, as long as your annual limit has not been reached.
